A Few Strategy Flash Games You Should Try
March 31, 2011Those of you who have read my articles before know that I am a big fan of flash games, and more than once I have rated different flash games and talked about which ones are the best flash games and which are the worst. So I decided that it was time I told you guys which ones are on my favorite games in each particular category. Here are my favorite games in the strategy flash games I like.
Phage wars. I don’t have much to say about this one other than that this is definitely one of the best flash games I’ve ever played. The concept is simple, you are species of bacteria (or virus not really sure) and your job is to multiply and take over cells in a strategic way so that you can wipe out all other species of bacteria. Simple yet addicting, the weaker the bacteria you choose, the more difficult beating all the levels becomes.
I think some of the top flash games out there are tower defense games, and as far as tower defense (TD games are a sub category of strategy games, for all those of you who are concerned) games go Gemcraft is quite famous. It is perhaps the quintessence of what other TD games aim to be. Like all TD games there isn’t much to explain, you are trying to use your towers, in this case gems, to defend your base from incoming monsters. The only twist is, in this game you get to combine different types of gems to create endless combinations of towers and their abilities. A must for all strategy game lovers.
Now if you say you are a flash gamer and have never heard of Sonny, then you need to revaluate how you have been spending your online gaming time. Sonny 2 has been one of the most played strategy games online. Sonny 2 is a turn based fighting game, much like the famous final fantasy, but with its own unique dark story. After a quick tutorial at the beginning of the story, you get to choose your class, items and basic skills. From then on you will go on a variety of battles of your choice, for gaining experience, gold and loot. Some of these battles will be a part of the story and some won’t, but all of them will definitely be entertaining. You can then use the gold you got from the fights at the shop to buy a huge assortment of items. What I like about the shop is that the items it has are constantly changing, so you better check every level. Sonny 2 has story, awesome game play and great graphics and with a huge ability tree and plenty of weapons and classes this game is bound to keep you reeled in for a while.
